의료 백년지대개(醫療 百年之大慨)

[메디게이트뉴스] 교육정책을 백년지대계(百年之大計)라고 하는 만큼 중요하고 긴 호흡으로 계획을 세워야 하며 심지어 국민의 건강과 생명을 책임질 의료정책을 백년지계가 아닌 즉흥적이며 정치색 짙은 정책으로 몰아가선 안된다. 그만큼 의료정책은 백년지대계((百年之大計)로 앞으로 백년 후 우리 사회에 미칠 영향까지 생각하고 계획해야 한다. 그러나 현재의 상황은 개탄(慨嘆)스러운 내용뿐이다. 정부는 OECD통계 중에서도 기대수명, 암 사망률, 영아 사망률 등 대부분의 지표는 제외하고 한 가지 의사의 숫자만을 정치적 매개로 활용했다. 다분히 정치적인 의도다. 그러면서 이를 “개혁”이라는 용어로 둔갑시킨다. “개혁”이라는 용어는 잘못된 제도를 뒤집어 새롭게 바꾼다는 의미인데 용어의 사용도 황당하기 그지없다. 심지어 그동안 경제협력개발기구) OECD 통계상에서 최고였던 분야마저 OECD 평균 수준으로 낮추려는 듯한 과오를 자행하고 있다. 이는 모두 잘못된 정책의 시행으로 촉발되고 있는 연쇄반응으로 2024.08.18

[메디게이트뉴스] 며칠있으면 의대교육 점검 연석 청문회가 시작된다. 이번에는 반드시 바로 잡아야 할 것들을 정리해 보았다. 의대 정원 2000명 증원 결정…교육부 장관 직무 유기, 복지부 장관 직권 남용 먼저 교육부 장관에게 묻고 싶다. 의대증원정책에서 교육부는 의대 정원 관리를 책임지는 주무 부서로, 이 사안에 대한 결정권을 가지고 있다. 하지만 보건복지부 장관이 의대 정원 증원 과정에서 독단적으로 결정을 내렸다고 밝혀 직권 남용이 의심된다. 교육부가 먼저 의대 증원 고 논의하고 결정해야 했음에도 불구하고, 순서가 반대로 진행된 것은 명백한 직무 유기라고 본다. 교육부는 의대 정원 증원과 관련해 주관적인 대학 총장들을 통한 수요 조사가 아닌 객관적인 수요 조사를 진행했어야 했다. 또 내부적으로 타당한 근거가 될 논문 자료나 토의 내용을 준비했어야 한다. 이러한 자료들이 준비되어 있지 않았다면, 이는 직무 유기에 해당한다고 판단되는데 교육부장관의 생각은 무엇인가? 다음 보건복지부 장 2024.08.14

'개원면허제도' 하필 왜 지금인가? 면허 관리제도 의협으로 완전 이관 후 논의해야
